General Terms and Conditions for Participants to 3rd Conference on FoodOmics:

Registration Fees

In registering for the 3rd International Conference on FoodOmics, relevant details will be incorporated into a participant list for the benefit of all delegates. Normally this information would be: name, surname, institution, country and email address. These details may also be available to parties directly related to the Conference including the venues and accommodation providers. International Conference on FoodOmics may use these details to inform current participants of Conference updates or future conferences via email. Participants are responsible for advising the International Conference on FoodOmics secretariat if they do not wish to have their email addresses included in the conference participant list or distribution list for future events.

All participants must pay the registration fee prior to arrival at the conference venue. In order to have the abstract included in the Conference Book, registration fee must be paid before 15th May 2013! On desk registrations are not allowed.

Posters SET-UP and removal

The authors are asked to put their posters on the displays by 11.00 on Wednesday, May 22nd latest and to remove them before 12.00 on Friday, May 24th. The displays are numbered in the same way as the poster abstracts in the Conference abstract book. Posters will be discarded after the deadline, they will not be kept or mailed to the authors.

Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellations must be notified in writing by fax or email to the FoodOmics Contact Person (Dr. Elena Babini, e-mail:; fax +39 0547 382348) received 15 working days prior the first day of the conference will receive a refund of registration fees less an administration charge of 15% of the Conference fee. Cancellations made after, as well as ‘no shows’, are liable for the full registration fee. Participants must make sure they receive an acknowledgement of their cancellation from the Contact Person. Only this will confirm that their request has been received and processed.

Personal Insurance

International Conference on FoodOmics cannot be responsible for healthcare, dental and ambulance services during its conference. The Organizing Committee strongly recommends that participants take out comprehensive medical and travel insurance, which should cover the possibility of flight cancellation due to strikes and other causes. Therefore, The Organizing Committee and its local co-organizers accept no responsibility of any nature whatsoever for personal injury, death, loss or damage to property or participants however caused or arising.

Poster Size


Poster size must be 70 cm (width) x  100 cm (height) and the format must be vertical (portrait).

Please ensure that your poster does not exceed the following dimensions: Height 110 cm x width 90cm.


Hand your poster to the Secretariat during “Reception of Registered Participants” on 22nd of May, they personally provide to tack’em up with fixation material.

The Organizers reserve the rights to make changes and adjustment to the information in this website
